Vancouver Pants Off for Prostate Cancer 2016

The cause

All proceeds from Pants Off for Prostate Cancer will benefit Prostate Cancer Canada and will support research at the Vancouver Prostate Centre. The Vancouver Prostate Centre has a track record of success that has earned it a reputation as one of the world’s most respected cancer facilities. The Centre is a National Centre of Excellence and a designated Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research focused on improving longevity and quality of life for patients in BC, and around the world.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men. One in every eight men will be diagnosed with the disease during his lifetime. This year alone, nearly 25,000 Canadian men and their families will face a prostate cancer diagnosis. But, there’s hope. When detected early, the survival rate for prostate cancer can be over 90%. Prostate Cancer Canada recommends that men in their 40s get a PSA test in order to establish their baseline.
